Tee Hinges
The classic choice for standard garden gates and shed doors. Available in light, medium, and heavy-duty Scotch configurations, ranging from small 250mm sizes up to weighty 600mm hinges.
Hook and Band Hinges
Built for heavier gates, these two-part hinges distribute weight securely. Choose from straight or cranked bands depending on how flush you want your gate to sit against the frame.
Adjustable Hinges
Heavy timber gates naturally drop over time. Adjustable hook and band hinges feature a threaded bolt that lets you easily realign a sagging gate without having to unscrew and re-drill the hardware.

Comprehensive double strap hinge sets designed specifically for the massive weight and unique framing of large agricultural or driveway gates.
Frequently Asked Questions | FAQs
Why should I choose galvanised hinges for my gate?
Hot-dipped galvanised steel is coated in a layer of zinc that acts as a sacrificial barrier against moisture and oxygen. This makes it highly resistant to rust and corrosion, which is essential for any hardware exposed to wet weather year-round. It ensures your hinges will remain strong and operate smoothly for years without seizing up.
What size tee hinge do I need for a standard garden gate?
As a general rule, the strap of the hinge should reach across roughly one-third to one-half of the gate's total width. This ensures the weight of the timber is adequately supported and helps prevent the gate from sagging over time. For example, a standard 900mm (3ft) wide gate is best supported by 300mm (12") or 450mm (18") hinges.
What is the benefit of an adjustable hook and band hinge?
Even with the best hardware, large or heavy timber gates will eventually drop or sag as the wood weathers and gravity takes its toll. An adjustable hook and band hinge features a threaded eye-bolt on the pin. If your gate starts catching on the ground or the latch stops lining up, you can simply turn the nuts on the threaded bolt to pull the gate back into perfect alignment—saving you the hassle of completely reinstalling the hinge.
