Open with your unique key at the bottom of the barrel to remove the van door lock and gain quick access when needed. Having a strong lock visible is an effective deterrent against opportunistic thieves, who are looking for an easy target. 
The two-panelled van lock requires a second break to get through, taking double the time and obstructing criminals. The thick construction is purposely tough and unyielding to stop the forcing of the lock. Plus, its circular barrel design leaves no room for bolt cutters to get a secure hold.
